EVENT: Oscars At The Library, Hosted By Illinois Indie Critics And Elmwood Park Advocate
Join us in the Ferrentino Room of the Elmwood Park Public Library for an Oscars event at 3 pm on Saturday, March 14.
One day before the 98th Academy Awards, local film critic Don Shanahan and Elmwood Park Advocate editor Kevin Gosztola will discuss the Oscar nominees—who will win, and who should win.
Don and Kevin will talk a little bit about some of the movies from last year that were overlooked by Academy voters. Don will also share a few of his favorite Oscar-winning films and performances from past Hollywood eras.
Refreshments will be served, and there will be giveaway prizes from the “Free Blockbuster” of Elmwood Park that is managed by Don.
The event is co-hosted by the Illinois Indie Critics and the Elmwood Park Advocate. (RSVP here.)
Note: The Elmwood Park Public Library has permitted resident-led groups to use meeting spaces as a community service. The Library neither sponsors nor endorses this event, the speakers, or the organizations involved
