Joe “Elvis” Tirrito was born on the south side of Chicago. He’s an Elvis tribute artist and passionately committed to the act.

Nature Thursdays ‘Frogs and Ponds’ Drop-In

Adults and kids are encouraged to come learn about native frogs in the Forest Preserves and go on a frog and pond critter hunt.
Elmwood Park Public Library Summer Bash
5 p.m. | Circle of Elmwood Park
The library holds its first Summer Bash. Kids can explore a fire truck, ambulance, and other vehicles. Or ride a Party Wheelz battery-operated car. ‘90s Pop Nation performs top jams from the decade at 7 p.m. Food vendors will be present.

The 132nd Annual Feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel

Presentations, masses, and a dinner are held throughout the week, but Sunday is when Caliendo’s Banda Napoletana & the Sicilian Band of Chicago perform and processions take place in the streets.
