The Village Board of Trustees holds its monthly meeting. Village trustees will consider another real estate purchase near North Avenue for the construction of a parking lot, the village will honor homes with the best Halloween decorations, and public comment is likely to feature a few residents speaking out about the village’s response to ICE activity over the past weeks.

Learn to Make Apple Butter with Opportunity Knocks
4:00 p.m. | 2 W. Conti Parkway
Opportunity Knocks, an organization in the near west suburbs of Chicago, teaches you how to make a jar of apple butter. The event will be taught by the Warriors, people of different abilities who have been empowered to live “life by their design.” (Registration is required - register here.)

Annual Holiday Chicago Toy & Game Fair
10:00 a.m. | Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont
People of Play holds its annual toy and game fair and welcomes kids and their parents to this ticketed event with exhibits, giveaways, costumed characters, and activities for all ages. (Children under 3 get in free. Children 3 and up: $6. Adults: $12.)
