Library Board Meeting and BGPP Committee Meeting
5 p.m. | Elmwood Park Public Library
The Library Board will hold its monthly meeting. According to the agenda, votes will be held on the library’s holiday schedule and board’s meeting schedule for 2026.
After the board meeting, the Bylaws, Goals, Policy, and Personnel Committee of the Library Board will discuss updates to several policies, including the meeting room policy.

Summer Sounds ‘25 Concert
7 p.m. | Dominican University in River Forest
The final concert of the “Summer Sounds ‘25” series features BiPolar Bear, which is a goofy and fun cover band that performs rock, pop rocks, and one-hit wonders.

Nature Thursdays: 'Native Bees' Drop-In
10 a.m. | Trailside Museum of Natural History in River Forest
Led by University of Illinois master naturalists, kids are offered a chance to discover “Native Bees” and their benefits. Come learn about these tiny pollinators in Trailside’s native plant garden.
Community Connection Resource Fair (Sponsored by Nicor Gas)
5 p.m. | Melrose Park Civic Center
Need assistance with Illinois state programs? The fair is an opportunity to learn about energy-saving products and obtain access to other community services. Local organizations will be there to assist with housing, billing support, and other basic needs. Register here.

Nature Restoration Day

Adults and children 12 and older are invited to help the forest preserve restore woodland and prairie. There will be gloves and tools provided and some light refreshments.
