You're Invited To A 'Community Conversation' On Traffic Safety
Elmwood Park Public Library, Ferrentino Meeting Room at 1 p.m. on August 16
At 1 p.m. on August 16, the Elmwood Park Advocate will hold its third "Community Conversation" in the Ferrentino Meeting Room at the Elmwood Park Public Library.
We'll discuss traffic safety in Elmwood Park and offer residents a chance to vent their frustration about driving in the village. What streets or intersections bother you the most?
As far as traffic regulations, what do you think Elmwood Park does a good job of enforcing? And what happens so frequently that you cannot believe residents get away with driving like that?
Our first and second conversations were remarkable successes. Not only have we filled the seats in the room both times, but as a publication, the gatherings have given us a better sense of what’s important to residents. They help us choose what to cover in the village.
The “Community Conversations” promote the principles of the First Amendment—freedom of assembly, freedom of speech, and freedom of the press. Each event creates a much-needed space for dialogue that reflects a diverse range of voices from different parts of the village. All of which is in line with the Elmwood Park Public Library’s core values.
We look forward to seeing you on August 16, 2025, from 1-2 p.m. in the Ferrentino Room of the Elmwood Park Public Library. (RSVP)
Please clarify the meeting time. Invitation header says 1 pm, further down in the body of the invitation it says 3-4 pm. Thanks.
