We thought you might wonder how long those involved in this newsletter have been involved in Elmwood Park. Those of us reporting and writing resent this attitude that you cannot speak out on village matters unless you’ve lived here for 10, 15, 20, 25, or 30 years. The Elmwood Park Advocate is about fostering a space for including the perspectives of residents who have had family in Elmwood Park for generations or moved here recently in the past few years.

Then they will correspond with you about your submission and help prepare what you wrote for the newsletter.
Beyond an open call for submissions, we would like to see lively discussion in the comments sections of posts. We encourage responses to our articles, and if you would like to submit a “Letter to the Editor” about a specific article, you may email the previously mentioned address.
